ZeroZero's Miscellany Links and Sites...
Whilst governments around the world become sinistarly more and more similar to the Nazi and Soviet States which they publicily attack, people are fighting back against the introduction of the worldwide police state. This countries government, for example, led by Jackboot Straw and Tony Liar is attempting to monitor every activity every individual in this country carries out both in the'real world' and on the internet. This is being done through the introduction of bills like the Regulatory Investigatory Powers Bill (RIP Bill) and the Terrorism Bill and the introduction of CCTV cameras everywhere. This page features information on privacy software, anti-drug war propaganda games and software and more.

Wanting to be anonymous whilst sending your emails and 'surfing' the web does not mean you are a criminal. It shows that you want your privacy to be respected, both from hackers and criminals who might want to find out what people are up to for their own benefit, and from the police and the security forces who try and build up profiles of many millions of people around the world. The links below are aimed at helping people achieve anonymity if that is what they wish, and are not intended to promote illegal activity. None of the sites below have anything to do with this website, and thus the integrity of their software/services cannot be assured.
General Sites of Interest About Privacy
http://grc.com/ - many hints and tips as to how to prevent hackers wreacking havoc on your system. Important hint for anonymous internet use - beware of 'Cookies' which are used by corporations and more to find out about which sites you visit, what software you've got on your computer and more; delete your internet history files and memory.
For software used to encrypt files go to: http://www.pgp.com. PGP can also be used to clean your hard disk of information and data that hasn't been deleted properly.
For info about PGP Tom McCune's FAQ is good: http://www.mccune.cc/PGP.htm
The PGP Users Mailing list homepage is http://cryptorights.org/pgp-users/
Find out the geographical location of an IP (email/websurfers) address: http://visualroute1.datametrics.co.uk.
Also, try: http://spamcop.net/fom-serve/cache/19.html to find out where email has originated from - use the IP addresses in the email headers to do this.
The Cypherpunks Home Page (lots of cool stuff) ftp://ftp.csua.berkeley.edu/pub/cypherpunks/Home.html
Cryptome (use an anonymizer to access this) http://cryptome.org/.
Webattack has loads of shareware and freeware programs which can aid in privacy and investigation. Particularly, check out Sampspade for a whole load of useful tools.
Anonymous Email Servers and Information
For encrypted e-mail accounts visit Hushmail, Messager and Mail2Web. Rather than storing data on your hard drive (which under the Regulatory Investigatory Powers Bill can be accessed under warrant by MI5 or police) stash your private bits and pieces on the Net. There are companies like Freedrive (http://www. freedrive.com) where you can store info on their sites for download at a later date.
Also, check out: http://www.cyber-rights.net for an anonymous email service which has an overtly political slant.
Surfing the Web Anonymously
For (almost) anonymous surfing, find out about using anonymous proxies at http://proxy.nikto.net/multiproxy.htm. Use the anonymous proxies list, and enter an anonymous proxy address into your browsers appropriate section.
Check out http://www.safeweb.com for anonymous web surfing.
