1) Buy herbal cannabis if the resin available to
you is of a low quality (i.e.
low potency soap or slate).
You want to avoid smoking low quality resin such
because those types because they will contain substances such as barbituates,
plastics, stones, twigs and string.
2) If you have the ability to choose what type of
herb to buy, then buy
BIO weed, because
the fertilisers and such like in normal weed/skunk can
be harmful to your health.
Natural weed is less likely to contain
harmful chemicals like pesticides and fertilisers. If you are willing
to take the risk, then perhaps you might grow your own organic weed.
3) This guide is for England primarily, so a mention
of tobacco. Yes, most of
us use tobacco as a tonic
for the herb. Keep the amount of tobacco low. If
you are going to skin up
a joint then make it strong - don't smoke two fags
worth of tobacco to get
mashed, when you can smoke one. Use of low tar
cigarrettes can be entriely
missleading. Use fags which don't taste strong, and
don't give headaches or
saw throats.
4) Only use thin papers. Avoid at all costs
papers such as Swans and Red/Green
Rizlas. These contain high
amounts of carcenogenic chemics (e.g. salt peter) which
are added to the paper to
keep them burning. Try to avoid papers which look too
white since these will contain
high amounts of chlorine, which is quite dangerous to
humans. In general go for
the thinnest papers possible. Smoking Green Hemp
papers are good and
so are Rizla Originals.
5) At all costs do not use tin or alluminium
foil in a bong. Heating a mix contained in
a cap made of these foils
will release large amounts of metals and carcenogenic
chemicals into
your lungs. Bad. It may also be a good idea to avoid buckets
and smoking devices which are made of plastic.
6) A mention about roaches. The bits of cardboard at the end of your
hand
crafted smoke should be as clean as possible. Cigarette packet cardboard
is particularly
nasty as are Rizla packets. Anything with colours in are probably bad
for you.
We recommend buying the little books of roaches from 'Head Shops'.
These are non-
chlorinated and recycled and perfect for rolling with. Also good are
the Smoking Green
packets which are non-chlorinated.
6) Avoid smoking when you are excessively stressed
about a situation in which you
should or must act. The
only stressful times you can smoke, are those which are in
general beyond your control. Most of all, keep things chilled
and increase the peace!
Remember, if you make 'cleaner' spliffs you can enjoy getting mashup without getting ill, even if it does take a year or so for any difference to be seen. If you have heavy sessions make sure you eat a healthy diet to decrease the risks.
