I think the best way is to put the leaves in a bucket of very cold water, add ice, mix for 1/2 hour or so. Let the resin settle to the bottom. Strain the whole thing into a second bucket, thru a very fine screen, to catch all the veg matter and allow the resin particles to pass through the screen. The resin particles then settle (overnight) and the water can then be poured off carefully, so as not to mix the resin back into solution.

The last half-inch or so of water will have all the hash in it, looking like silt in the bottom of the bucket. Pour through a coffee filter (doubled for extra strength) let dry and voila! Pure resin! This is the extractor method, not the pollinator method. The extraction method takes only the resin, no vegetable matter. The stuff was so pure that it wouldn't smoke through a pipe, it needed to be smoked through a hash oil pipe, because the resin would liquify and pass through the screen in my regular pipe.
